The Grand Traverse County Republican Party was formed June 1, 1977.
To identify, cultivate, support and promote, well-qualified, principled Republicans through education, communication, outreach and motivation of the electorate.. To grow our membership and Republican voter base through outreach programs, voter registration, events, forums and social media.
To be the most effective county Republican Party within the State of Michigan; consistently electing principled Republicans to all elected offices.
1. Encourage and engage all GT GOP Committee members to work for and support common goals
2. Increase participation of GT GOP Committee membership
3. Increase GT GOP funds through enhanced fundraising events and establishment of corporate donations
4. Establish a GT GOP Strategic Plan for the next four years that includes a Mission, Vision, and Principles/Values statement and Goals & Actions·
5. Improve and promote a positive public image·
6. Develop relationships with other county GOP Chair and Executive Committees in the northern Michigan regions·
7. Full support of endorsed local candidates (sample ballots, poll workers, sign placements, …)·
8. Improve the efficiency, effectiveness and professionalism of the Executive and Executive Committee meetings
9. Increase Republican Party voter registration and voting percentages in Grand Traverse County
